On Campus: Great Accomplishments By College Students From Windsor Locks And East Windsor

WINDSOR LOCKS-EAST WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Clark University, Worcester MA

• Abby Thurston Gallagher, of Windsor Locks, was named to second honors on the Clark University Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2025 semester.
  Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• More than 800 Eastern Connecticut State University students received undergraduate and graduate-level degrees in the 2024-25 academic year, which culminated this past May with two commencement ceremonies at the conclusion of the spring 2025 semester. Among the graduates are Brittany Janzer of Broad Brook, Bachelor of Science in psychology; Joseph Stavolone of Broad Brook, Bachelor of Science in physical education; and Matthew Blume of East Windsor, Bachelor of General Studies in general studies.

Goodwin University, East Hartford CT

• Aaron Jacobs and Julie Martin, both of Windsor Locks, and Raeanne Kelly of East Windsor were named to the President's List for the spring 2025 session. Students on the President's List scored a perfect 4.0 GPA for the semester.
• Seven local residents were among 440 students who achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2025 session. They are Nicole Bowden, Michael Garvey Jr. and Yardy Margarin, all of East Windsor, and Xavier Gonzalez, Khondoker Islam, Ywiahatt Johnson and Brooke Wilson, all of Windsor Locks. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Luke Ragaglia, of Broad Brook, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering in May as part of the Class of 2025.
• Ellie Hall, of East Windsor, has been named to the spring 2025 Dean's List at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
