Gunshots Fired At Windsor Locks Residence; Police Still Investigating

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Police are actively investigating what they termed "an isolated incident" involving gunshots fired in the 240 block of South Elm Street Thursday night.

Around 8:15 p.m., police began receiving reports of possible fireworks or gunshots in that area. An investigation revealed gunfire was confirmed, and a bullet had struck a residence.

Police did not provide a description of any suspects, but said a dark sport utility vehicle headed southbound from the scene at a high rate of speed.

"It appears to be an isolated incident with no known threat to the public," police wrote on social media.
