Due to the event, temporary road closures will be in effect beginning at approximately 5:15 p.m., according to police. Main Street will be closed at the intersection of Main Street and North Road as the parade starts. As the parade progresses, that intersection will reopen, but a complete shutdown will be in place at the intersections of Main Street and Depot Street, as well as Main Street and Mill Street/Highland Avenue.
Officials said those sections of Main Street are expected to be impassable to all traffic for approximately one hour due to fire apparatus staging and heavy pedestrian foot traffic. Motorists are urged to plan and seek alternate routes.
