Longtime Eatery In Windsor Locks Closes Its Doors Upon Owners' Retirement

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — After several decades of providing authentic Chinese cuisine to hungry patrons in north-central Connecticut, S. New China has closed its doors in the Waterside Village on Route 159.

Operated by the Yong family, various sources have indicated the owners have opted to retire. The final day of business was Sunday, Aug. 31.

Most social media comments about the closure contained references to the warm, friendly service the Yongs provided. The business mainly consisted of take-out and delivery orders.

There is no information available as to a possible replacement tenant in the south end of the plaza.
