Toy Maker Confirms Windsor Locks Expansion With New Warehouse

The move comes as office operations in Enfield are phased out and remaining staff relocate elsewhere.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A major toy maker will open a new warehouse facility in Windsor Locks beginning in 2026, according to a company spokesperson, even as the company completes the relocation of its remaining office employees out of Enfield.

In an email confirmation, the spokesperson said the company has signed a 10-year lease for 106,475 square feet of warehouse space at 30 Hamilton Road in Windsor Locks. About 20 employees are expected to be based at the site starting in the second half of 2026.

The warehouse represents a new operational presence in Windsor Locks and is separate from the office operations currently based in Enfield, the spokesperson said.

At the same time, the spokesperson confirmed that all remaining employees working at the company’s Enfield offices will be relocated to other company locations by the end of 2026. About 350 employees across several teams are still based in Enfield and are expected to transition primarily to offices in Boston and Tempe, Arizona, as Enfield operations wind down.

The company first announced plans in 2023 to move its U.S. headquarters to Boston and carry out a phased transition over several years. The Enfield offices have been in operation since 1975.

Employees who chose not to relocate have already exited or will exit the company as part of that transition, according to the spokesperson.

While office operations in Enfield are set to fully close, the Windsor Locks warehouse will allow the company to maintain a smaller footprint in northern Connecticut. The spokesperson said the warehouse plans do not change the timeline for the Enfield office closure.

The company’s two Connecticut retail stores, located at Danbury Fair Mall and Westfarms Mall, will continue operating.

The full transition out of Enfield is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, with the Windsor Locks warehouse opening around the same time.
