Windsor Locks Shares Update On Outdoor Ice Rink

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — The outdoor ice rink in Windsor Locks is not yet ready to open, town officials said.

According to the Windsor Locks Department of Public Works, colder weather is still needed before the rink can be safely resurfaced. Officials said the forecast calls for lower daytime temperatures starting Tuesday, which would allow the Parks Department to smooth and refreeze the ice.

Until that work is completed, residents are asked to stay off the rink to prevent damage and ensure safer skating conditions once it opens.
