Alzheimer’s Association Invites Dementia Caregivers to Education Event
May 21 event offers ready-to-use best practices, disease education, research updates, local resources and Q&A session with family caregivers
The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter invites dementia caregivers from New Castle County and the surrounding area to an educational symposium on Wednesday, May 21 in Wilmington, Delaware. Attendees will learn from local experts and caregivers about dealing with common challenges, memory care resources that empower families, the latest in dementia research, and enhancing care through connection and self-care.
"Caring for someone living with dementia brings a unique set of challenges and rewards," said Erica Holmes, Programs Manager, Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley Chapter. "It is important that dementia caregivers have access to tools and best practices that can guide them on their journey. We are pleased to bring this education opportunity into the New Castle community, to help people empower themselves to provide quality care while managing their own well-being."
