It’s time to celebrate! Today, Delaware Secretary of Education Cynthia “Cindy” Marten honored Counselor Alexis Ridgeway and Brader Elementary School with the prestigious Sapphire Award for Excellence in School Counseling.

Counselor Ridgeway’s dedicated work using disaggregated data uncovered discipline disparities among male special education students. By implementing restorative practices, behavior support plans, and targeted counseling, Counselor Ridgeway and Brader Elementary achieved a 17% decrease in suspensions and improved classroom engagement.
