During her time with AAE, Liz brought her experience in advocacy, grassroots and communications to parents, educators and administrators in designing, facilitating and leading education based advocacy training programs in New Jersey.Liz worked with teachers and parents helping them elevate their voices in the public arena on the education issues that mattered most to them. Shortly before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Liz created an on-the-road advocacy training program for teachers where she brought the training to teacher lounges during built-in breaks. To date, she has trained over 1,000 educators.
At FSE, Liz will create content that will inform and engage Delawareans to act together as a productive force for change in our education system. In her previous role, in which she still finds time to volunteer when needed, Liz was called upon to help negotiate appropriate accommodations, modifications and support for children with disabilities in the public education system.
