Juniper Village at Newark Spreads Holiday Cheer by Giving Back!

Juniper Village at Newark Supports Local Nonprofits and Spreads Joy in December

The December season came alive as Juniper Village at Newark, a premier senior living community, embraced the spirit of the holidays through a series of heartwarming events and meaningful community partnerships. Bridging generations and fostering connections, Juniper’s residents, youth, and the broader Newark community members united in a season full of joy, service, and gratitude.

Kicking off the month in a posture of generosity, students from Delcastle Technical High School joined forces with Juniper residents to assemble care packages for several local nonprofits. The groups worked in tandem to create mental health kits for veterans, blankets for other communities, and bags of candy and cards for the local community’s first responders. This intergenerational initiative named “Bridging Generations: A Day of Service” exemplified Juniper’s commitment to giving back and cultivating connections across generations.

The holiday cheer continued as residents delightfully watched performances by the children of Newark Day Nursery. Residents sang and danced alongside their youthful guests, with a special appearance by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus adding to the magic of the moment. These heartwarming interactions created long-lasting connections and memories, strengthening the intergenerational bonds between residents and the younger generation.
