The December season came alive as Juniper Village at Newark, a premier senior living community, embraced the spirit of the holidays through a series of heartwarming events and meaningful community partnerships. Expanding their community outreach, Juniper Village at Newark’s talented Executive Chef, Aking DeLeon, visited students at Yearrrn Academy to lead a hands-on cooking demonstration. Together, they prepared a delicious creamy Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta, with Chef Aking sharing his culinary expertise and passion for nutrition education.

The festivities continued with the community’s annual Ugly Sweater Social, where residents, family members, and associates enjoyed the spirit of the season by wearing fun and playful holiday attire, savoring delectable treats, and embracing warm company. The event was a resounding success, with attendees expressing gratitude for the opportunity to come together and celebrate in such a joyful and spirited manner.

As the year drew to a close, the Juniper community was graced by a special visit from Santa himself – secretly played by Executive Director Frank DeMarinis. Wearing the iconic red suit, Santa spread holiday cheer throughout the community, creating cherished memories for all.
