Police Find Body In Burning Car Near Bear: Report

BEAR, DE — A person was found dead Wednesday inside a burning car near Bear, prompting the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office and New Castle County police to open an investigation into the death.

Firefighters were called to Rockwood Apartments on Wednesday morning after someone reported a person trapped inside a burning car, WDEL reported. Upon arrival, authorities confirmed a person was inside the burning car.

The victim, whose name is unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene, WDEL reported.
