VERO BEACH, FL — A Florida woman is desperately seeking the safe return of her puppy.

In fact, the dog's owner, Melanie Stavert, is offering a $10,000 reward in hopes it'll lead to information about the pooch's whereabouts.

"She is very friendly and loves kids. We live near the high school. We hope to have her home," Stavert posted to Facebook.

Stavert told WPTV that the day Kayce disappeared, she went under a fence with the family's older dog. The older dog returned; however, Kayce did not.

"We really want her home and don’t want this to die down, if anyone would like to help post flyers please message me I have lots," Stavert said.

According to Stavert, she's had a hard time sleeping at night not knowing if Kayce is safe. Her children also miss her.
