Hunter Finds Missing Florida Woman's Body 85 Miles From Home: Police
Joan Kaloustian, a 76-year-old woman from Brooksville, was found Sunday by a hunter in Levy County, according to authorities.
LEVY COUNTY, FL — A hunter in Florida found the body of a 76-year-old woman who had been missing for a week Sunday, the Hernando County Sheriff's Department announced Monday.
Joan Kaloustian was found by the hunter around 5 p.m. near U.S. Highway 19. She was in her white van, a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, which was stuck in a muddy trail deep in the woods. Foul play is not suspected, according to authorities.
Kaloustian, who was diagnosed with dementia and was first reported missing Tuesday, was found roughly 85 miles from her home in the Highpoint community in Brooksville. She had last spoken with family members around 8 p.m. July 17 using her home's landline telephone just a few hours after they had left after a visit, police said.

It is unclear if Kaloustian had her prescribed medication with her when she was missing.
Deputies have notified Kaloustian's family, according to authorities.
