When deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 12800 block of Southwest Highway 484 around 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, they found a truck belonging to Caden at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
Detectives received information and collected evidence at the scene that didn't support initial reports that he had been taken by four Hispanic men in a light-colored van.

Investigators learned that Caden might have left the area where his truck was found on a black bicycle with a red and grey tent he bought at Walmart on Southwest 19th Avenue Road in Ocala just before the shooting was reported, the sheriff’s office said.
