1 Killed, 1 Injured In Riverview Apartment Shooting: Sheriff

BLOOMINGDALE—RIVERVIEW, FL — A Riverview shooting killed a man and injured a woman Friday night, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. at the Windermere Apartments on the 9000 block of Windermere Lake Drive, detectives said. The male victim was pronounced dead by officials at the apartment complex, and the female victim was taken to a local hospital where was last listed in critical but stable condition.

"At this time, detectives are processing the scene and working to identify the person(s) behind this attack," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "Though we are in the preliminary stages of the investigation, evidence suggests this was not a random act, and these victims were targeted. Those who know something about this incident, but have yet to come forward, are urged to contact us."
