Keller Williams South Shore Employees to Volunteer at Ruskin Ministry

Keller Williams Realty of South Shore will close its office on Thursday, May 9 to participate in the company’s international day of service, RED Day (Renew, Energize and Donate). This year, the South Shore office will volunteer its services to The Lord’s Lighthouse Ministry.

The Lord’s Lighthouse Ministry, located at 815 E College Avenue in Ruskin, is committed to providing spiritual nourishment, educational empowerment and compassionate assistance to the less fortunate through the collection of food, clothing, translation services, advocacy, application assistance (Medicaid, food stamps and benefits), crisis intervention, spiritual counseling and emergency assistance.

Pastor Cruz, minster for Lord’s Lighthouse, was extremely appreciative for the opportunity to receive help from Keller Williams Realty of South Shore, which also organized a successful Walk-a-Thon on April 13.

Cruz professed, “Keller Williams is one of the top real estate companies in the area. By choosing us to be their charitable benefactor for 2013 means a lot not only financially, but also in terms of recognition within the community. This is the best that could happen for us.  God is good!”

As a part of its RED Day efforts, the KW South Shore office will spend the day painting the facility, landscaping, holding a food and clothing drive and organizing and bagging the items.

“RED Day is a unique opportunity for all members and partners in Keller Williams to show their love for their community,” stated Charley Collins, KW Cares chair.

The public is encouraged to drop off men's, women's and children's clean clothing and/or canned food donations the morning of May 9 for distribution to the families being served.
