Services Set for Chuck Damels

Kosta V. “Chuck” Damels, 76, of Valrico, died Jan 17.

Damels moved to Valrico from Cornwall, N.Y. He was retired from the New York Telephone Co., a member at the Diamond Hill Golf Club and attended First United Methodist Church of Brandon.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sue Damels; sister, Helen (John) Vasilakis; nephew, Satbir (Laura) Nayar; great-nieces and -nephews, Garrett, Julia and Leila; sister-in-law, Kerry (Bill) Eyre; niece-in-law, Dawn (Eric) Martin; nephew-in-law, Bill (Wanda) Eyre; great-nieces and nephews-in-law, Cody, Sabrina and Glen.

There will be a memorial service Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Brandon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice at lifepath-hospice.org.

Serenity Meadows Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
