Motorcycle Crash Kills Riverview Woman

A motorcycle rider was killed Wednesday morning after she lost control of her 2008 Yamaha​ after passing railroad tracks on N. 30th St.

TAMPA, FL - A motorcycle rider was killed Wednesday morning after she lost control of her 2008 Yamaha after passing railroad tracks on N. 30th St., police said. The rider was identified as April N. Havens, 19, of Riverview.

As the motorcycle passed the railroad tracks at a high rate of speed, it began to wobble, police said. After losing control and striking a curb, the rider was ejected, according to police. The motorcycle continued south, coming to rest after striking a vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn on N. 30th St. There were no occupants in the parked vehicle. Tampa Fire Rescue transported Havens to Florida Hospital-Fletcher where she was pronounced dead.
