12 Store Clerks Sold Alcohol To Minors In Manatee Operation: MCSO
Investigators and informants visited 46 locations in Saturday's undercover underage drinking operation, the Manatee County sheriff said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Twelve store clerks were issued notices to appear for selling alcohol to minors in an underage drinking operation Saturday, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.
The agency and teenage informants visited 46 locations in the countywide operation.
The following locations are where the informants successfully purchased alcohol during the operation:- Mobil Gas, 6290 Lake Osprey Drive Sarasota
- Circle K, 3312 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton
- 7-11, 2712 26th Ave. E., Bradenton
- BP Gas, 2790 Manatee Ave., Bradenton
- 7-11, 2604 53rd Ave. W., Bradenton
- Ray’s Mart, 5402 26th Street W., Bradenton
- Manatee Market, 5105 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton
- Chevron, 6724 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton
- Sandra Express Mart, 7105 15th Ave. NW, Bradenton
- Bradenton Beach Liquor, 4336 101st Street W., Bradenton
- Marathon, 2927 Cortez Road W., Bradenton
- 7-11, 3515 53rd Ave. W., Bradenton
Under Florida law, selling, giving or serving alcoholic beverages to a person under age 21 is a second-degree misdemeanor with a sentence of up to 60 days in jail and a fine up to $500.

It’s also a criminal offense for a person under the age of 21 to possess or consume alcoholic beverages. Underage possession is a misdemeanor offense that may include jail, probation and a permanent criminal record.
