2 Teens Killed, 2 Injured In Late-Night Crash In Manatee County

Police said the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. Saturday in Parrish.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Two teenagers are dead and two others were seriously injured in a single-car crash in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Police said the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Silverleaf Ave. and US-301 in Parrish.

Police said a Dodge Charger with four people inside was traveling south on Silverleaf Avenue at a high rate of speed when it left the road and collided with several trees.

The driver, a 19-year-old Ellenton man, and one passenger, a 19-year-old Parrish man, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two other passengers, a 17-year-old Parrish boy and a 16-year-old girl from Holtsville, New York, suffered serious injuries and were taken to an area hospital.
