1. Need fresh fruits and vegetables for your Thanksgiving dinner? The downtown Farmer's Market is open today at 9 a.m. Get there early to get the best picks. The market is designed to support local farmers and growers and local businesses.

2. is hosting its annual Harvest Festival Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 65 booths, food vendors, bounce house, petting zoo, climbing wall and the Orange Train will keep the entire family entertained.

4. More than 600 turkeys will be distributed to needy families identified in seven Manatee District schools. A team of dental hygienists will also provide free fluoride treatments for students in those families on Monday at the Harllee Full Service Family Center, 6413 9th St. E. The turkey distributions and dental hygienist visits are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. The Full Service Centers of Manatee District Schools provide programs that include basic health services and other needs for high-risk students in need of medical and social services.
