5 Things You Need To Know This Weekend: October 22-24

The Farmer's Market is open, ArtCenter LIVE features live graffiti today and the South Florida Museum offers a new exhibit.

1. It's Saturday and that means the is open downtown from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

2. Get out your sketch book, sewing machine and the materials that will make for a creative costume. Throw in a cute kid and you have the makings to compete for a trip to Los Angeles or New York and a chance to meet Heidi Klum of Project Runway. .

3. is exhibiting “Silver Springs: The Underwater Photography of Bruce Mozert” which showcases more than 40 black and white photographs. The photos will be in the Museum’s East Gallery. The exhibition is based on a book of the same title created by Gary Monroe and organized by Dr. Leslie Hammond, a former curator of the Appleton Museum. Access to the exhibition is included with general admission to the South Florida Museum.

4. As part of Festival Sartee, sets off the fall season today with the outdoor event ArtCenter LIVE! Local graffiti artist  “Cheeta” Chad Ruis and Cocoa Beach based aerosol artist Morgan Wilson will paint oversized pieces LIVE! “Cheeta” Chad brings it with his surf/graffiti inspired “Cheetastyle” while classically trained Morgan shows off her skills with “Graphotos”, large scale murals in spray paint.  In classic Halloween spirit, a mask making workshop will run throughout the day.
