1.This is the final week for the ' production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Final performances are today and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 including for adults and $11 for students. Reserve tickets by calling 748-5875 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and one hour before curtain on performance days. Or on the web at www.manateeplayers.com. All performances are at 102 Old Main Street.
2. “Holiday Music Magic” will be presented in the through Saturday. Enjoy holiday hits from the past and present. The soundtrack is visually choreographed with 3-D artistic animation and all-dome scenery. The special screenings will be featured at 2:15 p.m. through Friday and at noon on Saturday.
3. The Literacy Council of Manatee County is sponsoring a raffle with the drawing to be held Dec. 23. Buy tickets for $5 at the council’s office at 1701 14th St. West, Suite 5. Proceeds benefit the Literacy Council. First prize: Two domestic AirTran tickets; 2nd: $100 Publix gift card; 3rd: $100 plumbing certificate.

5. Want to win $500 to pay off your holida electric bills? How about $100,000 for Manatee County Schools? Enter Patch's . Here’s how the contest works. The winning entry will be forwarded to a national Patch judge who will select 24 finalists. Each finalist will receive $500 that they can apply to their December electric bill. From Dec. 30 through Jan. 8 you will be able to vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patch. The grand prize winner’s school district will receive a $100,000 check from Patch.
