Snooty qualifies for Social Security as community celebrates his 63rd birthday other animals wait for a good home

1. could qualify for Social Security after Bradenton celebrates his 63rd birthday today. Join Snooty from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the .   This annual event will celebrate Snooty and promote wildlife awareness.  The event held in the Spanish Plaza is free.  Reduced admission to the Museum, Planetarium & Aquarium all day.The celebration will feature children’s games and art activities; free cookies and juice for the children, a display of Snooty’s birthday cards submitted for the card contest

2. If you got to the South Florida Museum take a look at the 20/20 photo exhibit. Twenty images depicting the beauty and diversity of Tampa Bay are featured in “Tampa Bay: 20/20,” a traveling exhibit celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Tampa Bay Estuary Program. The traveling photo exhibit will be on display at the South Florida Museum. Access to view the photographs is included with general admission to the Museum.

3.The ’s "Kitty Korner" hosts a cat and kitten adoption event at  , 4425 14th St W, Bradenton, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Standard ddoption fees for rescued cats and kittens are $75 and includes testing, spay/neuter, shots, microchip and free vet check.

4. The August issue of Vogue, on sale now, features a fabulous photo of Glee's and Lara Embry who have been huge supporters of Manatee County's efforts to bring to the area. Photographed by Sebastian Kim, the wives pose as Thelma and Louise for the fashion magazine. The photo is fun and fabulous.
