Register now for the county's bowling competition to raise money for the Manatee County United Way.

1. Want to see how your county commissioner performs on the lanes? are putting together a Team Bowling Tournament for Saturday to benefit the and those agencies that they support. The tournament, which is open to the public, begins at 10 a.m. at the The entry fee is $30 per person and teams should be made up of five bowlers. The $30 donation, includes shoe rental, three games per person and pizza and soda. Prizes will be available to the top three teams, ranging from $150 to $350. Gift baskets, donated by county employees, will also be raffled at the tournament. All of the proceeds to benefit the United Way. 2. The Manatee Sheriff's Office will continue its search in the Sabine Musil-Buehler case this morning.  The search will take place on the beach near Willow Avenue in Anna Maria.  The search will begin at about 9 a.m. and will continue throughout the morning.

3. The Food Bank of Manatee is in desperate need of non-perishable food to restock its shelves. Donations have been down as the economy continues its long malaise. The summer months are especially hard on families as children are on a break from school, which provides breakfast and lunch for children in need. Non-perishable food and cash donations should be delivered Monday through Friday to the food bank at 811 23rd Ave. E. All contributions are tax-deductible. To make food donation more convenient, has provided collection barrels in its Bradenton stores to benefit the Food Bank of Manatee County.

4. is teaming up with Under Armour fitness wear to send one aspiring athlete, between the age 13 to 24 to Bradenton's IMG Academies for a week-long training camp. Bradenton residents are eligible to enter the contest, which includes free airfare to Florida, lodging, meals and transportation, as well as $500 in Under Armour clothing. Tonight's game, which begins at 6 p.m. is the third in a series of four home games against the Daytona team. It is also ‘Kids Club Tuesday” which means free admission for all members of the First Mates Kids Club who will also be treated to a clown and face painter.
