County Commission set to discuss Ware's Creek, the Family Partnership Center is looking for companies and individuals to adopt families for Christmas and local bus benches to tout the Manatee Education Foundation and its needs.

1. The Manatee County Commission meets at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The County Commission is expected to authorize eminent domain for taking private property for the .
2. begins its Annual Holiday Adoption Program today. The organization is looking for companies and individuals interested in adopting a family. The FPC's goal is to help about 45 deserving families with gifts this holiday season. Many of the organization's clients are parents who have lost their jobs and are struggling just to put food on the table. The group is also looking for volunteers to wrap and package donations. 3. The Rocky Bluff Library is set to re-open in its new Ellenton location on November 15. The Rocky Bluff Library is moving across Ridgewood Boulevard into a newly renovated 10,000-square-foot building that was formerly home to the Roaring 20s pizzeria. An open house for the public is planned at the new building on Nov. 15 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The new building more than doubles the size of the current library which accommodates more than 140,000 patrons each year. The new library will have room for meeting space, a children’s story time area, offices and a coffee bar. In addition it offers 170 parking spaces.

4. Mike Sales, is an Anna Maria Island-based, independent recording artist who draws country, reggae, standards, oldies, pop and rock influences, will headline the on Wednesday at the Historic Courthouse.
5. Lions Club International has donated advertising space on 20 local bus benches to help promote the Manatee Education Foundation's endeavors. The Manatee Education Foundation provides funding for programs and educational opportunities. The Foundation will use the benches to raise community awareness and support for the Foundation and for the Teacher’s Wishing Well, an effort within the Manatee School District which collects school and office supplies for teachers in Manatee County.
