These performances are 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The schedule features performances by The Open Door Band, Atlantico Tropical, Passerine, Blue Star, the RJ Howson Band, Bayside Community Church Band and student dancers and performers from New College.

4. A White Cane Day Awareness Walk willtake place on Thursday at 11 a.m. The walk begins at the historic Manatee County Courthouse, 430 12th Street West, continue down Old Main Street and end at Bradenton City Hall, 101 Old Main Street. At the end of the walk, Manatee County Commissioner Robin DiSabatino and Mayor Wayne Poston will read proclamations designating White Cane Day. Representatives from all the planning organizations, including trainers from and their dogs-in-training, will attend. Following the walk participants are welcome to gather for lunch at Pier 22.

5. Tickets are on sale now for the "Empty Bowls" luncheon to fight hunger. Guests can select a handcrafted bowl to keep and enjoy soups provided by local restaurants, fresh bread, dessert and entertainment. Some of Bradenton's best restaurants are participating in the event Oct. 20 at the , 1816 9th St. West, and on Oct. 21 at 8131 Main Street, Lakewood Ranch.
