Herman Cain makes a campaign stop in Bradenton, County Commissioners set to discuss the 44th Avenue extension and local restaurant set for its national television debut tonight.

2. The and Realize Bradenton will host a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on the Riverwalk at Rossi Park. The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m today and continue until 10 a.m. Entertainment and refreshments will be provided.

4. Three students are serving on the Florida SkillsUSA State Leadership Team for the 2011-12 school year. SkillsUSA is a national partnership of students, teachers, and industry, working together to help students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations. Katerine Medina, a senior at Bayshore, is serving as the state Technology Coordinator; Kayla Lepiscopo, also a senior, is the state Reporter; and Tyler Zirkle, a junior, is serving as the state Educational Coordinator.
