Adoptable Cat of the Week: Mew Needs a Home
She's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.
This week's adoptable pet is Mew, a friendly gray and white tiger-striped cat.
Mew is a one and a half year old spayed female and has been with Manatee County Animal Services since August 17, when her owners surrendered her because they lost their jobs and couldn't afford to care for her. Mew is flirt. She loves people and will definitely pose for a camera.
Visit Mew at the county's downtown adoption center or at the Palmetto adoption center for Animal Services this week. The new and expanded downtown center is expected to reopen Monday. The fence should be moved away from the sidewalk too.

Manatee County Animal Services is offering a $40 adoption special on all dogs for "Howl-O-Ween." Cats can be adopted for $60, but look for the senior discounts. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
For more information, visit www.mymanatee.org/pets or call 941-742-5824. The animal services webpage features updated photos and descriptions of the pets available for adoption. Pet owners can also use the site to locate missing pets.
