Adoptable Dog of the Week: Name Your Price for Ace

He's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.

This week's adoptable pet is Ace, a Boxer mix who is also a people pleaser.

Ace, a one year old neutered male, is in need of a loving home. He's a happy dog who will sit next to the person who will rub his belly. He has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Nov. 9, when his owner brought him to animal services because he wasn't allowed to have him in his rental. You can visit Ace at the county's downtown adoption center or at the Palmetto adoption center for Animal Services next week. The downtown center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

January is a great month to adopt. Manatee County Animal Services is letting adoption families name their price for cats and dogs throughout January. All adopters must pay at least $10, the price of the Manatee County license. Adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, microchip and current rabies certificate/tag. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.

For more information, visit www.mymanatee.org/pets or call 941-742-5824. The animal services webpage features updated photos and descriptions of the pets available for adoption. Pet owners can also use the site to locate missing pets.
