Adoptable Dog of the Week: Ava Needs a Home

This week's adoptable pet is Ava, a brown and white German shepherd mix.

Ava is about 8 months old and has been with Manatee County Animal Services since May 29, when she was taken in as a stray. Ava needs a home where there are no other dogs because she can sometimes be aggressive towards them. Visit her at the county's downtown adoption center.

Animal services will honor all active and retired United States military personnel by offering half-price adoption fees for dogs and cats in the month of July.
