Adoptable Dog of the Week: Cowboy Needs a Home

He's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.

This week's adoptable pet is Cowboy, a  white and black speckled Pointer mix.

Cowboy is about seven months old and has been with Manatee County Animal Services since June 23, when she was picked up in East Manatee County. Cowboy is a loving, playful puppy who loves playing with his toys and snuggling with people. He just wants to find a good home. Visit Cowboy at the county's downtown adoption center. Don't let the sidewalk construction out front fool you -- the center is still open.

Animal services is offering buy one get one free adoption specials for dogs and cats in the month of August. Feel free to mix and match.

For more information, visit www.mymanatee.org/pets or call 941-742-5824. The animal services webpage features updated photos and descriptions of the pets available for adoption. Pet owners can also use the site to locate missing pets.
