Adoptable Dog of the Week: Goldie Needs a Home

This week's adoptable pet is Goldie, a gold and white Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Mix.

Goldie is five years old and has been with Manatee County Animal Services since August 8, when she was taken in as a stray. Goldie is a sweet girl who is very calm and loving. She just wants to find a good home. Visit Goldie at the county's downtown adoption center. Don't let the sidewalk construction out front fool you -- the center is still open.

Animal services is offering buy one get one free adoption specials for dogs and cats in the month of August. Feel free to mix and match. Regular adoption fees, which include spay or neutering, shots, physicals and a chip, are $80 for dogs and $60 for cats. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
