Adoptable Dog of the Week: Jiggs Needs a Home

This week's adoptable pet is Jiggs, a blue merle Australian Shepherd mix.

Jiggs is about one-and-a-half years old and has been with Manatee County Animal Services since June 29, when he was picked up along 19th Avenue West in Bradenton. Jiggs is a loving and playful and loves nothing better than being with people and snuggling. He just wants to find a good home. Visit Jiggs at the county's downtown adoption center. Don't let the sidewalk construction out front fool you -- the center is still open.

Animal services is offering buy one get one free adoption specials for dogs and cats in the month of August. Feel free to mix and match. Regular adoption fees, which include spay or neutering, shots, physicals and a chip, are $80 for dogs and $60 for cats. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
