Adoptable Dog of the Week: Rosie Needs a Home
Help Rosie find a reason to wag her tail again. She's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.
This week's adoptable pet is Rosie, a Vizsla who was given up by her owners.
Rosie is an 18-month-old spayed female with a sweet attitude. She knows how to sit and shake and loves to go for walks. She is playful and good on a walk. She has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Oct. 26, after her owners turned her in to Animal Service. Visit Rosie at the county's downtown adoption center or at the Palmetto adoption center for Animal Services this week. The downtown center is open even though a fence sits along the sidewalk.
November is a great month to adopt. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a fall adoption special. Prices have fallen 30 percent off. Dogs, regularly priced at $80, will be available for $56 throughout November. Cats, normally priced at $60 will be available for $42. Prices include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, current rabies certificate/tag and a microchip. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
For more information, visit www.mymanatee.org/pets or call 941-742-5824. The animal services webpage features updated photos and descriptions of the pets available for adoption. Pet owners can also use the site to locate missing pets.
