Adoptable Dog of the Week: Star Loves Attention

This week's adoptable pet is Star, a brindle boxer mix.

Star is a 5-month-old spayed female. She is all puppy and loves a lot of attention. She will play ball and is motivated by treats. She has been with Manatee County Animal Services since June 1, when she was found wandering. Visit Star at the county's downtown adoption center or at the Palmetto adoption center for Animal Services this week. The downtown center is open even though a fence sits along the sidewalk.

November is a great month to adopt. Manatee County Animal Services is offering a fall adoption special. Prices have fallen 30 percent off. Dogs, regularly priced at $80, will be available for $56 throughout November. Cats, normally priced at $60 will be available for $42. Prices include spay/neuter, vaccinations, health check, current rabies certificate/tag and a microchip. This adoption special is another step in the County’s plan to become a no-kill community.
