Adoptable Dog of the Week: Zoe Needs a Home

She's just one of the pets up for adoption at the county's downtown center.

This week's adoptable pet is Zoe, a Labrador Retriever mix.

Zoe is about six months old and has been with Manatee County Animal Services since July 7, when her owner surrendered her. Zoe is a sweet, playful puppy who is good with kids and other animals. She is also house broken. She just wants to find a good home. Visit her at the county's downtown adoption center. Don't let the sidewalk construction out front fool you -- the center is still open.

Animal services will honor all active and retired United States military personnel by offering half-price adoption fees for dogs and cats in the month of July.

For more information, visit www.mymanatee.org/pets or call 941-742-5824. The animal services webpage features updated photos and descriptions of the pets available for adoption. Pet owners can also use the site to locate missing pets.
