Aldi Announces Hiring Events Across Tampa Bay Area

BRADENTON, FL — Tampa Bay area residents hoping to break into the grocery industry may want to jot down a few upcoming dates. Aldi has announced a series of hiring events in February and March for positions at stores in Bradenton, Lakeland, Tampa and Sun City Center.

The grocery chain, which is known for offering competitive wages and benefits, is looking for people to fill a wide variety of store associate positions. It is also looking for shift managers and store manager trainees.

Hiring events will be held as follows in February and March:

For Store Associate and Shift Manager Positions

• Lakeland – Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 3405 S. Florida Ave. This event runs from 7 a.m. until noon on Feb. 10.
• Tampa – Aldi, 14933 N. Florida Ave. This event runs from 7 to 10 a.m. on Feb. 15.
• Tampa – Aldi, 14933 N. Florida Ave. This event runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on March 1.

Events Hiring for All Positions, Including Manager Trainees

• Bradenton – Aldi, 4525 53rd Ave. E. This event runs from 6 to 10 a.m. on Feb. 16.
• Sun City Center – Aldi, 4897 Sun City Center Blvd. This event runs from 6 a.m. until noon on March 2.

Applicants must be at least 18 years or older to apply. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. Applicants must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Mondays through Sundays. Retail experience is preferred. Employees must also be able to lift 45 pounds and be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Aldi employees who average more than 25 hours a week are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. The company also offers a 401 (k) program. Open positions pay as follows:

• Store associate - $12 an hour
• Shift manager - $16.50 an hour
• Manager trainee - $49,920 a year with an opportunity to earn $80,000 to $90,000 per year as a store manager.
