The Prayer Rally will be held August 4.

From ONEGC:

MANATEE COUNTY, FL - The Education Committee of the ONEGC, in cooperation with G62 is pleased to host the 2nd Annual Back to School Prayer Rally as a Community Service Initiative for Manatee County. This group of volunteers has been inspired to establish an Annual Back to School Prayer Rally before the start of each school year in Manatee County. The only agenda is to provide a central location for people of faith, who are passionate about the education of our children, to gather in unity and pray for God's Blessing & Favor over the Manatee County School system, its families, its students and its employees.

The non-denominational event will be held from 6pm - 8pm on Thursday August 4th, 2016 at the Bradenton Tropical Palms Auditorium located at 2310 - 14th Street West in Bradenton.

"We are extremely grateful to have the support of several churches, ministries and civic organizations which have helped to make this year’s event possible. The Bradenton Tropical Palms Auditorium is a wonderful facility to gather in and seek God's Favor and Blessing for a safe and successful school year," said Frank Brunner, the event committee chair.

The event will also feature various ministries which specifically serve and minister to students and people in the education field. The lobby of the auditorium will be set up with information tables which attendees may visit to learn about additional ways to get involved and bless our schools.

The event will begin with some “Praise & Worship Music” and the "Hour of Prayer" will begin at 6:30pm sharp. Members of the Prayer Leaders Team will take turns at the podium to pray over specific groups of people who are involved in the education field, while attendees will join in praying for specific people and schools in Manatee County.

"This rally is intended to bless everyone involved with education in our community, from students and their families, to the Superintendent and School Board Members and everyone in between. Whether people have students in school, or work as a teacher, a bus driver, a custodian...it doesn't matter. We encourage all people who would like to come and pray to attend," said Brunner.
