Arrest Made In Bradenton Man’s Death
A Lehigh Acres man faces DUI manslaughter charges in the November death of a 50-year-old Bradenton man.

BRADENTON, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol has announced an arrest in a November crash that claimed the life of a 50-year-old Bradenton man.
According to the agency, Nathaniel Poore, 24, of Lehigh Acres was charged with DUI manslaughter in relation to the crash that took place on Nov. 6, 2016. Poore, a highway patrol said, was charged with DUI manslaughter and two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury after toxicology results came in.
Poore’s test results showed he had a blood alcohol content level of .181, the patrol said. He also tested positive for cannabinoids.

Troopers say Poore was driving a Ford F150 east on Lee County’s State Road 82 around 1 a.m. Nov. 6. At that time, a Ford E350 driven by Ciara Leary, 16, of Bradenton was heading west on State Road 82.
Poore, a highway patrol report said, failed to maintain his lane and struck Leary’s car head on. John Joseph Leary was pronounced dead at the scene. Ciara Leary and passenger Austin Shinkle, 19, of Bradenton both suffered serious injuries. Poore was also seriously injured as a result of the collision.

Poore was charged in the crash on May 11, a highway patrol report said.
