Two Arrested in Home Invasion Shooting

Two men are charged with attempted murder in the shooting that hospitalized a 42-year-old man.

Manatee County detectives arrested two men today in connection with a home invasion shooting that injured a man Sunday night.

Nathaniel Harris, 20, and Adam Garza, 32, have been charged with attempted murder in connection with Sunday's home invasion and shooting in the 6000 block of 2nd Street West. The 42-year-old victim remains hospitalized from injuries suffered from the shooting.

Detectives had a search warrant Wednesday night for a house in the 3300 block of 5th Street Court East.  Two handguns, cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana were discovered in the house, according to detectives.

Detectives are investigating whether the shooting is related to a home invasion and shooting today at 5738 7th St. East.  Both incidents appear to be drug related, according to the Sheriff's Office.
