Help Needed To ID Man Found Dead In Bradenton Road

The death of a person found in a Bradenton intersection Wednesday morning is being investigated as a homicide.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man found unresponsive in a Bradenton intersection Wednesday morning.

According to the agency, deputies were called to the intersection of 58th Avenue East and 21st Street East around 6 a.m. Jan. 11. When they arrived, they found a man dead with “trauma to the body,” an email from the sheriff’s office said.

The investigation is being treated as a homicide.

As of late Wednesday afternoon, deputies had not yet been able to identify the victim. He is described as a black male in his 40s to 50s. He is bald and is of medium height and weight, the sheriff's office said. The man was wearing a green sport coat and brown corduroy slacks at the time of his death.
