Bradenton 4th of July Fireworks: What You Need To Know
The City of Bradenton reminds residents to leave fireworks to the professionals.

Bradenton, FL – Before this weekend’s 4th of July festivities begin, the City of Bradenton is looking to remind area residents to stay away from illegal fireworks.
Fireworks are banned by law in Bradenton, except by licensed professionals. There will be two professional displays planned for this weekend in the city.
Here’s what area residents need to know about fireworks this 4th of July weekend in Bradenton:
Bradenton’s Law Banning Fireworks
According to the Bradenton Code of Ordinances, Section 54-8, it is illegal to possess, discharge or use firecrackers, rockets, torpedoes, Roman candles or other fireworks, plus pistols, canes, cannons or other appliances using blank cartridges or caps containing chlorate of potash mixture.
Official Fireworks Displays in Bradenton
Bradenton Marauders Independence Day Celebration
The Bradenton Marauders will host their Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 2, when they take on the Charlotte Stone Crabs, the Class A Advanced affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, at McKechnie Field, 1611 9th St. W.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m., two hours before the scheduled first pitch at 6:30. The festivities start with pre-game live music by the Gator Creek Band, a face painter, a balloon artist and a kids zone. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a free T-shirt. There will also be a themed jersey auction. A fireworks display will follow the game.
Tickets are $10 for Infield Box and Infield Reserve, $8 for Baseline Box and Grandstand, and $6 for Left Field Bleachers, and can be purchased at www.bradentonmarauders.com or at the McKechnie Field box office.
Fireworks over the Manatee River
The City of Bradenton’s main fireworks display over the Manatee River is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 4 at 9 p.m. The city notes that this event is always well attended and for those interested in attending to plan accordingly:
- The Green Bridge will close to pedestrian traffic at 8:30 p.m.
- No vehicle traffic will be allowed north of Third Avenue West/Ninth Street after 8:30 p.m. Pedestrians will be allowed on sidewalks north of Third Avenue but not on the bridge.
- Barcarrotta Boulevard may close upon determination by the Bradenton Police Department’s assessment of vehicle and pedestrian flow. The road will not be reopened until pedestrian traffic clears
- Free parking will be available at the municipal parking lots at 1000 Third Ave. W. (City Centre Lot), 1300 Fourth Ave. W. (near First Baptist Church), 410 10th St. W. (County Parking Garage) and 615 12th ST. W. (City Parking Garage). Limited parking will also be available at Bradenton Riverwalk.
- Public restrooms and portable bathrooms will be on Barcarrota at 10th through 12th streets. Additional restrooms will be open at Riverwalk near the clock tower and south of the splash pad.
- Old Main Street will be open to vehicle traffic.
