Bradenton Bank Robbery Under Investigation

A SunTrust Bank in Bradenton was held up Wednesday afternoon.

BRADENTON, FL — Manatee County Sheriff’s deputies are on the hunt for a man accused of holding up a SunTrust Bank in Bradenton Wednesday afternoon.

According to the agency, a man walked into the 5714 14th St. W. SunTrust just before 3:50 p.m. March 15 and passed a teller a note demanding money. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, deputies say the man fled the bank on foot.

The suspect is described as being a white male who stands between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet in height. He has receding reddish hair that is cut short, an email from the sheriff’s office said. He also has a goatee. The man was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, gray sweat pants and black, Nike sneakers.

Anyone with information about the suspect or crime is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 941-747-301 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS.

No injuries were reported in the crime. Further information is not yet available.
