Bradenton Double Homicide: Search For Suspect Vehicle Continues

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is looking for help identifying the owner of a car that might be connected to a double murder.

BRADENTON, FL — As the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a Jan. 13 double homicide in Bradenton, detectives are looking for help tracking down a possible suspect vehicle in the case. A dark-colored, four-door sedan was seen in the area shortly after the murders occurred.

The double homicide under investigation took place in the 5200 block of 15th Street Court East around 1:20 p.m. Jan. 13. When deputies arrived on scene, they found the bodies of a man and woman outside the home.

The victims have been identified as Lashawna Stevenson-Weeks, 27, and Barry Joseph, 32.

"Both victims are from Manatee County but neither lived at the residence where the incident occurred," the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office is not releasing further information at this time, including the cause of death.
