Bradenton Gladiators Win Home Opener

The Gladiators rout the league's newest team, the Orlando Phantoms, 35-0.

The Bradenton Gladiators football team dominated in their home opener against the Orlando Phantoms on Saturday night at Bradenton's PAL Sports Complex.

The Phantoms are a new team this year in the Florida Football Alliance.

Before Saturday's home opener, coach Wendell Faison offered some insights on the team's performace last year and what he expects this season. See his interview and game video on the Gladiators website.

"I am very excited about the upcoming season," Faison said. ". Though a trip to the league championship eluded us, we were able to combine veterans with several new and young players in key positions."

Game tickets can be purchased in advance from any players, coaches, or volunteers for $5 or by calling (941) 320-7576. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate on game day for $7.

Season tickets are available for $25. Season tickets allow free admission to all pre-season and regular season home games and a complimentary hot dog or hamburger at the concession stand.
