Bradenton Home Invasion Under Investigation

Manatee County deputies say a 48-year-old Bradenton man suffered minor injuries during a Friday morning home invasion robbery.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Friday morning home invasion robbery that left a man injured.

According to the agency, Thomas Zakrzwski was inside his home in the Southern Pines mobile home park around 6:15 a.m. July 21 when his dog began to bark. Zakrzwski opened the front door and four men barged into the home, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

At least one of the men was armed with a gun, deputies say. The four men ransacked Zakrzwski’s home and took off from the home in the 900 block of 301 Boulevard East with cash, prescription pills and other items.

Zakrzwski was hit in the head during the robbery, but authorities say the injury was minor.

Detailed descriptions of the attackers are not available. Deputies, however, are asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact them at 941-747-3011. Tips may also be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 866-634-TIPS.
