The precautionary measure was announced Thursday, July 20 due to a loss of pressure in a potable water line during service replacement, the city’s alert said.

Residents in the affected area are asked to boil their water for a minimum of 1 minute before using it for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking, washing dishes and making ice. The water should be brought to a rolling boil, the city’s alert noted.
