Bradenton Man, 29, Killed In Sarasota Crash

A single-vehicle crash on Higel Avenue has left a Bradenton man dead and two females injured.

SARASOTA, FL — The Sarasota Police Department is investigating an early Monday morning crash that left a Bradenton man dead and two females injured.

According to the agency, a female was driving a Dodge Journey north on Higel Avenue, approaching Siesta Drive, around 2:15 a.m. April 3. Police say the driver failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road and struck a tree.

The crash left the driver and another female, who are not being identified at this time, seriously injured. Christopher Tirado, 29, of Bradenton died at the scene. Both females were taken to a local hospital following the single-vehicle crash, police said.

“Only the driver was wearing a seatbelt,” an email from the police department said. “Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.”
