Bradenton Man Convinced Girl, 14, to Send Him Explicit Images: US DOJ

A Bradenton man was sentenced to time behind bars for the production and receipt of child sexual abuse material, the U.S. DOJ said.

BRADENTON, FL — A Bradenton man was sentenced to federal prison for the production and receipt of child sexual abuse material, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.

Buddy Allen Travis, 4, will spend 15 years and eight months behind bars followed by a lifetime of supervised release.

Travis pleaded guilty to the charges on Oct. 1.

He persuaded a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity with him using Facebook, the DOJ said.

Travis engaged in sexual conversations with the victim and asked her to produce and send sexually explicit images of herself to him. He also sent obscene images of himself to the girl.
